Clay Pigeon shooting, also referred to as Skeet shooting, is probably the most familiar form of target shooting to most people in this country. Shotguns are used to shoot at clay discs flying through the air in front of the shooters. They are launched when the shooter signals he or she is ready by shouting "Pull!". When (or if) the shooter hits the clay, it disintegrates leaving no doubt about whether a hit has been scored. The skill is in anticipating how far ahead of the moving clay to aim, and to shoot whilst tracking its trajectory.
